Common names: Αχίλλειος η αβροτανοειδής [Gr]

Endemic species

Grammos Mount, KASTORIA ● Greece

Description: Perennial plant of 20-40cm height, tufted to clump-forming. The flowering stem is subglabrous to slightly tomentose.
The leaves of l-3cm long are pinnatifid or bipinnatifid, grey-green with appressed white-hairs, smelling or wormwood.
The flower heads are 1.2-1.5cm across, in corymbs of twelve to thirty.

Biology: Flowering from June to August.

Habitat: mountain rocks and shady places on stabilized screes and gravel, on limestone, serpentine and schist, often gregarius.

Distribution: Balkan endemic species from the mountains of Albania, former Yugoslavia and Greece. From (700-)1600-2400 m
