Description: Pronotum evenly, densely and coarsely punctuate, dull. Elytra with apical spot situated entirely within the orange ground colour, posterior band reaching the lateral margin. Hind femora strongly thickened; hind tibiae distinctly curved.
Distribution: Greece (not Crete), Turkey, Syria, Palestine, Israel, Egypt.
The flower is Artedia squamata L. or Crown Flower, Madonna flower (Family: Apiaceae)
